(7) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) On the power distribution center panel, P414: 1) 414D16, ENG FUEL SW ON IND

(8) Put the AUTOSTART switch to the off position (located on the engine ignition control/fuel jettison module, - pilots overhead panel, P5).
F. Do the Operational Test for the Engine Spar Valves

(1) Look at the auxiliary EICAS display.
(a) Make sure these EICAS status messages show:
1) ENG 1 FUEL VALVE
2) ENG 2 FUEL VALVE
3) ENG 3 FUEL VALVE
4) ENG 4 FUEL VALVE
(b) Make sure these EICAS status messages do not show: 1) FUEL SPAR VLV 1 2) FUEL SPAR VLV 2 3) FUEL SPAR VLV 3 4) FUEL SPAR VLV 4

(2) Open these circuit breakers:
(a) P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6G1, FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 1
2) 6G2, FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 2
3) 6G3, FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 3
4) 6G4, FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 4

(3) Look at the auxiliary EICAS display.
(a) Make sure these EICAS status messages show:
1) FUEL SPAR VLV 1
2) FUEL SPAR VLV 2
3) FUEL SPAR VLV 3

Look at the auxiliary EICAS display.
(a)
Make sure these EICAS status messages do not show:
1) FUEL SPAR VLV 1
2) FUEL SPAR VLV 2
3) FUEL SPAR VLV 3
4) FUEL SPAR VLV 4

Do these steps to test the operation of the spar valve for the No. 1 engine.
(a)
Put the engine No. 1 FUEL CONTROL switch on the aisle stand to the RUN position.
(b)
After approximately 15 seconds, look at the auxiliary EICAS display. 1) Make sure this EICAS status message does not show:
a) FUEL SPAR VLV 1
(c)
Do these steps to test the control of the spar valve with the engine No. 1 fire control handle in the "armed" position.
NOTE: The fire control handle is on the FIRE EXTINGUISHING/
____ APU/CARGO module, M7326 (pilots' overhead panel, P5).
1) Push the manual override release switch under the engine No. 1 fire handle.
WARNING: DO NOT TURN THE FIRE HANDLE WHEN YOU PULL IT INTO THE
_______ EMERGENCY FIRE POSITION. IF YOU TURN THE FIRE HANDLE, THE CONTENTS OF THE FIRE BOTTLE WILL BE LET OUT. THE CONTENTS OF THE FIRE BOTTLE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE.
2) Pull the engine No. 1 fire handle into the emergency "armed" position. 3) Release the manual override fire handle switch.
NOTE: The spar valve will close.

(d)
After approximately 15 seconds, look at the auxiliary EICAS display. 1) Make sure this EICAS status message does not show:
a) FUEL SPAR VLV 1
(e)
Push the engine No. 1 fire handle back to the usual position.
NOTE: The spar valve will open.

(f) After approximately 15 seconds, look at the auxiliary EICAS display. 1) Make sure this EICAS status message does not show:
