(a)
Make sure the valve actuator (1) is in the closed position.
(b)
Install the valve body (5) so that the TOP position indication is on the bottom of the valve (nearest the wing lower skin).
(c)
Engage the valve body (5) with the adapter shaft (3).
(d)
Make sure the index marks on the valve body (5) align.
NOTE: The index marks on the valve body must be on the bottom

Do these steps to install the valve body (5):
(a)
Install the bolts (7) and washers (8) (four locations) that attach the valve body (5) to the mounting bracket (6).
(b)
AIRPLANES WITH A BARE METAL SURFACE AT THE MOUNTING BRACKET; Apply these protective finishes to any exposed areas on the mounting bracket (6): 1) Alodine 600 (AMM 51-21-04/701) 2) BMS 10-20 Type II primer (AMM 28-11-00/801).
(c)
Put lockwire on the bolts (7).
(d)
Put new O-rings (9) lightly coated with petrolatum in the couplings (4).
(e)
Connect the couplings (4) to the valve body (5) (AMM 28-00-00/201).

(5) AIRPLANES WITH A BARE METAL SURFACE AT THE MOUNTING BRACKET; Measure the bonding resistance between the valve body footprint and the front spar structure (SWPM 20-20-00).
NOTE: The bonding resistance must not be more than 0.010 ohm.

MAIN TANK BOOST PUMP CONDUIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General

A. This procedure contains instructions to remove and install the No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pump conduit.
B. The conduit for the No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pumps are found in the No. 2 and 3 inboard fuel tanks.
C. Access to the No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pumps is through the boost pump dry bay access doors.
