Put the FUEL CONTROL switch to the CUTOFF position.

 (h)  
After approximately 15 seconds, look at the auxiliary EICAS display. 1) Make sure this EICAS status message does not show:


 a) FUEL SPAR VALVE 1

Do the test again for these fuel spar valves:

 (a)  
Engine No. 2 spar valve

 (b)  
Engine No. 3 spar valve

 (c)  
Engine No. 4 spar valve

Put the Airplane Back to the Usual Condition

Put the AUTOSTART switch to the ON position (if it is necessary) (located on the engine ignition control/fuel jettison module, -pilots overhead panel, P5).

 5.  Fuel Crossfeed Valves - Fuel Transfer Operational Test (Fig. 503)______________________________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  
This task transfers fuel from one tank to another tank through the crossfeed valves to make sure the valves are in the commanded position.

 (2)  
You can test one or all four of the crossfeed valves in this procedure.

 (3)  
This procedure operates the fuel boost pumps in the inboard and outboard main tanks. Make sure the minimum and maximum fuel quantities called out in the prepare for the test procedure are available.

 (4)  
Make sure the leading edge flaps are in the fully retracted position. If the flaps are in the takeoff configuration, the No. 2 and 3 crossfeed valves will be commanded closed by the fuel system management cards (FSMC). The FSMC uses flap position and air/ground inputs to supply the logic for the crossfeed close command.

 (5)  
This task transfers fuel from the engine fuel-feed manifold to the refuel/jettison manifold. Make sure the jettison nozzle valves are closed.
