 (1)  
These conditions are necessary for this task:

 (a)  
Refuel System serviceable.

 (b)  
A specific fuel quantity is necessary for this task (AMM 12-11-01/301 and AMM 28-26-00/201).


 NOTE: All fuel tanks are refueled until full (VTO).

 (c)  
Electrical Power On (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (d)  
Fuel System Card File serviceable (AMM 28-22-16/401).

 (e)  
Fuel Quantity Indicating System (FQIS) serviceable (AMM 28-41-00/501).

 (f)  
Airplane must be in the ground mode (AMM 32-09-02/201).

Prepare for the Test


 S 495-053
 (1)  If you must extend the leading edge flaps, do this safety procedure:
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (a)  Extend the leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 THE LE FLAP SAFETY LOCKS.  THE LE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU
 DO NOT INSTALL THE SAFETY LOCKS CORRECTLY.  THIS CAN CAUSE

 INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2) Install safety locks on the leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE AIRPLANE AND THE FUEL SOURCE ARE CORRECTLY BONDED
_______ BEFORE REFUELING OR DEFUELING. MAKE SURE THE AIRPLANE AND ALL WORK STANDS IN USE ARE GROUNDED AND BONDED BEFORE YOU DO FUEL TANK OR FUEL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE. REFER TO THE STATIC GROUNDING PROCEDURE. CORRECT ELECTROSTATIC GROUNDING AND BONDING PREVENTS STATIC ELECTRICITY DISCHARGES AND A POSSIBLE FIRE OR EXPLOSITON.
 (3)
Make sure the airplane is grounded correctly (AMM 20-41-01/201).

 (4)  
Connect a grounding cable from the fueling vehicle and other fuel equipment that is used for tank maintenance to an approved and identified static ground.

 (5)
Connect a bonding cable from the fueling vehicle to an approved electrical grounding or bonding connection on the airplane.


 NOTE: If the fueling vehicle has a permanently attached V or
____ Y grounding cable, connect one part of the V or Y to an approved, identified ground. Then connect the other part of the V or Y cable to an approved electrical bonding or grounding point on the airplane.

Open the access doors for the refuel station, 521BB and 621BB.

Connect the ground cable, if it is installed, for the fueling nozzle to the ground jack on the wings.

 (8)
Remove the refuel receptacle caps.

 (9)
Connect the refuel nozzles to the refuel receptacles.
