E. Motor/Impeller Unit Removal

(1) Remove the electrical connector from the motor/impeller unit (1).
NOTE: Refer to this table for the equipment numbers.

Loosen the drain plug on the motor/impeller unit (1).

Remove the screws (5) (two or three locations) that attach the bonding clip (9 or 10) to the motor/impeller unit (1) (View B).

Remove the bonding clip (9 or 10) with the bonding jumper attached (View A-A).

Do not disassemble the bonding jumper (8), and attachment hardware, from the bonding clip.

Remove the screw (5) and washers (6) from the motor/impeller unit

at the 1 o'clock position.

Install the MS35275-250 retention screws at 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock positions.

Remove the remaining screws (5) and washers (6).

Pull the handle on the motor/impeller unit (1) until the
motor/impeller unit (1) is against the retention screws.

(9) Put the container below the motor/impeller unit to catch fuel.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE FUEL DOES NOT CONTINUOUSLY DRAIN FROM THE
_______ MOTOR/IMPELLER UNIT. IF FUEL CONTINUOUSLY DRAINS, THE REMOVAL CHECK VALVE IS NOT CLOSED. THE MOTOR/IMPELLER UNIT MUST BE PUT BACK TO ITS USUAL CONDITION AND THE FUEL TANK DEFUELED BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE MOTOR/IMPELLER UNIT.

Remove the drain plug.

After the motor/impeller unit (1) drains, remove the retention screws from the motor/impeller unit (1).

CAUTION: WHEN YOU REMOVE THE MOTOR/IMPELLER UNIT, FUEL CAN FALL OFF IN
_______ DROPS INTO THE HOUSING FROM ORIFICES IN THE EJECTOR PUMP PRESSURE LINE. TO MAKE SURE A LARGE QUANTITY OF FUEL DOES NOT COLLECT, A REPLACEMENT MOTOR/IMPELLER UNIT MUST BE AVAILABLE.

Remove the motor/impeller unit (1) from the housing.
