MAIN TANK BOOST PUMP WIRING - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains instructions to do an inspection/check of the wiring and conduit for the No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pump.
B. The main tank boost pumps are found at the outboard end of the inboard main fuel tanks, installed in housings connected to the boost pump dry bay walls.
C. The No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pump wiring is installed with a double layer of teflon sleeving in the conduit. The sleeving is installed to prevent arcing between the boost pump power wiring and the conduit caused by chafed wires.
D. The conduit for the No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pump are found in the No. 2 and 3 inboard fuel tanks.
E. Access to the No. 1 and 4 main tank boost pumps is through the boost pump dry bay access doors.
F. The main tank boost pumps will be referred to as the boost pumps in this procedure.
