 (1)  
Put a new O-ring on the drain valve.

 (2)  
Install the drain valve into the fuel tube.

Install the lockwire between the drain valve and the adjacent coupling on the fuel jettison manifold.

Go out of and close the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

 FUELING POWER CONTROL SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains instructions to remove and install these
 components:

 (1)  
Fueling power control switch S681

 (2)  
Magnetic actuator

 B.  
The switch is installed on the access door for the refuel control panel, 521CB.

 C.  
Open the access door for the refuel control panel, 521CB, to get access to the fueling power control, S681.

 D.  
When persons are in the area of the wing leading edge, make sure the safety locks are installed on all extended leading edge flaps.

 E.  
If the magnetic actuator is missing or misaligned it is possible that the fueling control switch will not operate. As a work-around procedure, some operators have put a magnet on the control switch to complete the circuit. In some cases, the magnet is left in place after the refuel operation and during flight. This procedure is not authorized. With a magnet on the fueling control switch and the airplane on the ground, the fuel quantity processor is constantly in refuel mode. This condition can cause an incorrect fuel system configuration and incorrect logic input for the EICAS advisory messages, FUEL TANK/ENG and X FEED CONFIG. Before you close the refuel control panel door, make sure a magnet is not installed on the fueling control switch.

 (b)  
On the left power distribution center, P414: 1) 414F22, FUELING PWR
