2) Do the continuity/resistance checks again for the new fuel
pump. 3) Start with this procedure: Fuel Pump Continuity Check. 4) Record the continuity/resistance values for the replacement
pump on the 747 Fuel Pump Inspection Data Sheet -Replacement Pump (Figure 603).
(c) If any resistance measured between pin 4 and pins 1, 2, and 3 is between 1 an 5 megohm, do these steps: 1) It is recommended that the motor/impeller unit be replaced.
NOTE: Refer to Table 602 for the applicable AMM reference

procedure.
2) If the motor/impeller unit is not replaced, continue to do the insulation resistance checks.
NOTE: Do the checks of the fuel pumps at the maintenance
____ interval in SB 747-28A2194, Revision 1 (every A-check).

Continue to do the visual and insulation resistance checks for the remaining fuel pumps.

Keep the 747 Fuel Pump Inspection Data Sheet for your records (Fig. 602, 603, and 604).

K. Put the Airplane Back to the Usual Condition

Remove the plywood sheet (platform) from the pressure relief panel on the inboard leading edge.
(2)
Go out of and close the applicable access door, 511FB or 611FB.

(3) Remove the leading edge flap safety locks (AMM 27-81-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEADING
_______ EDGE AND TRAILING EDGE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
(4) Retract the leading edge flaps, if necessary (AMM 27-81-00/201).
