AIRPLANES WITH A BARE METAL SURFACE AT THE MOUNTING BRACKET; Prepare the mating surfaces of the valve body (5) and mounting bracket (6) for a faying surface bond (SWPM 20-20-00).

NO. 2 AND 3 ENGINE SPAR VALVES (VIEW B);
Do these steps to correctly align the valve body (5):
(a)
Make sure the valve actuator (1) is in the closed position.
(b)
Install the valve body (5) so that the TOP position indication is on top of the valve (nearest the wing upper skin).
(c)
Engage the valve body (5) with the adapter shaft (3).
(d)
Make sure the index marks on the valve body (5) align.
NOTE: The index marks on the valve body must be on the top
____ when the valve is closed (nearest the wing upper skin).
