C. Procedure

(1) If you remove the control unit for the center wing tank refuel valve, make sure the ground lockpins for the landing gear are installed.

WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN AMM 32-00-30/201 WHEN
_______ YOU INSTALL THE LOCKS. IF THE LOCKS ARE NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED, THE FAST MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

If you remove the control unit for the center wing tank refuel valve, install the wing and body gear door locks (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Make sure the refuel control panel access door is in the closed position.

Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
On the DC power distribution panel, P180:
1) 180M8, FUELING VALVE 2
2) 180C25, FUELING LTS PANEL
3) 180C26, FUELING LTS RECP
(b)
On the left power distribution center, P414:
1) 414F17, FUELNG VALVE

(7) Remove the bolts (5) and washers (6) (3 locations) that attach the control unit (3) to the valve unit mounting nuts.
NOTE: A check valve in the refuel valve will prevent fuel leaks

when the control unit is removed.

Remove the control unit (3).

Discard the packing (1 and 2).
