(a)
Make sure the manual override lever on the actuator is in the fully closed position.
(b)
Align the actuator output shaft with the adapter shaft.
(c)
Make sure the two spaces for teeth on the adapter shaft align with the actuator output shaft.
(d)
Put the actuator output shaft into the adapter shaft.

Do these steps to install the actuator (1):
(a)
Install the socket-head cap screws (3) and washers (4) to attach the actuator (1) to the index plate.
(b)
Install lockwire on the screws.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THERE IS CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE VALVE ACTUATOR
_______ MANUAL OVERRIDE LEVER, AND THE SPAR ADAPTER PLATE AND INDEX PLATE LOCKWIRE. IF THERE IS NOT CLEARANCE, THE MANUAL OVERRIDE LEVER CANNOT MOVE PROPERLY. THIS CAN PREVENT ENGINE SHUTDOWN OR CAUSE ACTUATOR MOTOR DAMAGE.
(c) Make sure there is clearance between the manual override lever and the adapter plate.

(5) Attach the bonding jumper (7) to the actuator (1) with the screw (8), washers (6), and nut (5) (SWPM 20-20-00).

(6) Measure the electrical resistance between the actuator and the spar (SWPM 20-20-00).
NOTE: The resistance must not be more than 0.008 ohm.
