D. Procedure
S 214-014
(1)
Replace the spar gasket seal if one of these conditions occur:
(a)
There is damage on the spar gasket seal.
(b)
The spar gasket seal is not in the usual shape.
(c)
The spar gasket is too hard.

Put the spar gasket seal on the mounting flange of the valve unit.

(3)
Hold the valve unit and gasket seal in the correct position on the spar in the fuel tank.

(4)
Install the washers and nuts (3 locations) out of the tank that attach the valve unit to the spar.
(a)
Tighten the nuts to 35-50 pound-inches.

(5)
Put the gasket seal and orifice plate in the correct position on the valve outlet tube flange.

Align the outlet tube with the valve unit.

(7)
Install the bolts and washers to attach the outlet tube with the valve unit (4 locations).
(a)
Tighten the bolts.
(8)
Install the new O-ring in the inlet tube coupling.
(9)
Connect the coupling to the valve body.

Install the lockwire to connect the coupling nut to the outlet tube bolt head.

Install the bolt, washers, and nut to attach the bonding jumper to the grounding lug on the valve unit (AMM 20-11-15/401).

Do a check on the bonding resistance between the valve unit and the structure (AMM 20-22-01/601).

Make sure the bonding resistance is not more than 0.010 ohm.

Go out of and close the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Install the refuel valve control unit (AMM 28-21-02/401).
