ENGINE FUEL FEED SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains instructions to do an operational test of the fuel-feed system for the engines.
(1)
This procedure contains these tasks:
(a)
Engine Crossfeed Valves Operational Test
(b)
Fuel-Feed Pumps Operational Test
1) This task contains an operational test of these fuel pumps: a) Main tank boost pumps b) Override/jettison pumps (center wing tank) c) Override/jettison pumps (No. 2 and 3 main tanks)

Engine Spar Valve Operational Test
(d)
Fuel Crossfeed Valves - Fuel Transfer Operational Test
(e)
Engine Spar Valve - Fuel Transfer Operational Test

The operational test contains short tests for the components in the fuel-feed system for the engines. The test makes sure the components operate correctly. To do this you must look at the EICAS status page for the necessary EICAS messages. If there are no EICAS messages that show, the component is serviceable.
(3)
The operational test also give instructions to compare the airplane configuration with the symbols on the fuel synoptic to make sure the airplane and fuel synoptic agree.
(4)
The valve fuel transfer operational tests make sure that the valves are in the correct commanded position and that the valve bodies and valve adapter shafts are installed correctly.
