(1)
Deactivate the inboard trailing edge flaps (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Open the applicable access panel 572GB/672GB (AMM 06-09-08/201).

Remove the applicable boost pump access door, 545CB/645CB or 545DB/645DB (AMM 28-11-02/401).

Open the applicable access panel 572GB/672GB (AMM 06-09-08/201).

Open the applicable circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P180 DC Power Distribution Panel
1) 180E4 FUEL BOOST PMP CONT AFT 1 AND FWD 4
2) 180E19 FUEL BOOST PMP CONT FWD 1 AND AFT 4
(b)
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left
1) 414B5 FUEL BOOST PUMP MAIN AFT 1
2) 414A8 FUEL BOOST PUMP MAIN FWD 4
(c)
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
1) 415B35 FUEL BOOST PUMP MAIN FWD 1
2) 415A35 FUEL BOOST PUMP MAIN AFT 4

Disconnect the electrical connector from the boost pump.
(7)
Remove the wire bundle clamp inside the boost pump housing.
(8)
Attach a cord to the wire bundle at the boost pump end.

NOTE: The cord length must be sufficient to go through the conduit
____ from the boost pump to the rear spar. You will use the cord to pull the wiring back through the conduit.

Remove the wire bundle clamp at the rear spar.

Carefully pull the wiring through the conduit.
NOTE: It is possible for the boost pump connector to go through the

conduit.
D. Inspect the Teflon Sleeves

Remove the teflon sleeves.

Inspect the teflon sleeves for damage.

Replace the teflon sleeve(s) if the material is damaged, missing or not long enough (SWPM 20-10-18).

Inspect the Boost Pump Conduit Wiring

Inspect the wiring for damage.

Repair or replace damaged wires (SWPM 20-10-13).

If the wiring damage is caused by arcing, then do these steps:
NOTE: Arcing can show as very small blackened holes in the
____ insulation or as deformation or pitting of the copper wire. Worn areas with a black material around the edge is not a sign of arcing (the black material is aluminum oxide).
(a) Repair or replace the damaged wiring (SWPM 20-10-13).

(b)
Replace the teflon sleeves (SWPM 20-10-18).
(c)
Replace the conduit for the applicable No. 1 or 4 boost pump (AMM 28-22-06/401).
NOTE: The conduit does not need to be replaced immediately if
____ there is no evidence of fuel leakage inside the conduit. To determine if there is fuel leakage, do the subsequent procedure: Boost Pump Conduit Leak Check.
F. Boost Pump Conduit Leak Check
NOTE: Use one of these methods to determine if there is fuel leakage in
