Do these steps to operate the left override/jettison pump in the center wing tank.

Put the CTR L switch to the ON position.
(b)
Look at the light indication in the CTR L switch. 1) Make sure the white ON indication light comes on. 2) Make sure the amber PRESS indication light does not stay

Monitor the fuel synoptic.
1) Make sure the pump box symbol for the CENTER L override/jettison pump changes color in this sequence: a) White (pump off)

After approximately 15 seconds, look at the main and auxiliary EICAS displays. 1) Make sure these EICAS messages do not show:
a) FUEL OVRD CTR L (advisory)
b) FUEL OVRD CTR L (status)

Put the CTR L switch to the off position.
(f)
Look at the light indication in the CTR L switch.
1) Make sure the white ON indication light goes off.
(g)
Monitor the fuel synoptic.
1) Make sure the pump box symbol for the CTR L override/jettison pump changes color in this sequence: a) Green (pump on - pressure) b) Amber (pump on - low pressure) (does not always show) c) White (pump off)

NOTE: Make sure the left and right center wing tank switches (CTR L
____ and CTR R) are in the off position when you operate the override/jettison pump switches for the No. 2 and 3 main tanks. The override/jettison pumps for the No. 2 and 3 main tanks will not operate if one or more of the pump switches for the center wing tank are ON.
