3. Manually Close the Refuel Valve (Fig. 201)

A. General
(1)
Do this task after you refuel an airplane with a manually opened refuel valve.
(2)
You must close the refuel valve when you complete the refuel operation.

Manually Close the Refuel Valve
(1)
Go to the open refuel valve control unit.

Turn the override screw 10 to 13 turns in the clockwise direction to close the valve (View A).

(3) S 912-013Install the lockwire on the override screw (knurled knob).
(4) S 412-015Install the applicable access door or panel that was opened to get access to the refuel valve control unit.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND THE EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR BEFORE
_______ YOU. MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS, THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS AND THE FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS WILL MOVE. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, ELECTRICAL POWER WILL MOVE THE FLAPS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Do the activation procedure for the leading edge flaps (if deactivated) (AMM 27-81-00/201).

Remove the wing and body gear door locks (AMM 32-00-30/201) (if installed).
