_______ (MASTINOX 6856K). IF MASTINOX GETS ON YOUR SKIN, IMMEDIATELY REMOVE IT WITH WATER. IF THIS MATERIAL GETS IN YOUR EYES, IMMEDIATELY FLUSH YOUR EYES WITH WATER AND GET MEDICAL AID. THIS MATERIAL CONTAINS VERY POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE AGENTS WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS.
CAUTION: REMOVE UNWANTED MASTINOX FROM SURFACES WHICH WILL BE
_______ LUBRICATED. IF YOU APPLY MASTINOX TO JOINTS THAT TURN, THE LANDING GEAR COULD FAIL TO EXTEND OR RETRACT.
(1) Clean and lightly lubricate all bolts, washers, and bushing with grease immediately before assembly.

NOTE:____ Apply Mastinox 6856K to parts which are not lubricated with___ grease after installation (AMM 12-21-11/301).
NOTE:____ Apply a layer of MIL-PRF-23827, or the preferred grease BMS 3-33 to parts which are lubricated with grease after installation (AMM 12-20-00/301).
(2) S 424-013Put the lower half of the side strut (8) in the universal fitting (10).
(3) S 424-014Install the attachment bolt (11) with its head end outboard and add the washer and the nut.
(4) S 434-015Tighten the nut to 400 pound-inches lube torque.
(5) S 434-016Connect the upper side strut (3) to the lower side strut (8) and the downlock lower link (6). (a) Put the upper and the lower side struts together over the downlock lower link (6) and align the holes.
CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THAT THE BOLT (9) IS INSTALLED WITH ITS HEAD END AFT. IF THE BOLT IS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY, THE BOLT WILL HIT THE SHOCK STRUT ON RETRACTION.
(b) (c) Install the attachment bolt (9) with its head end aft and add the spacer washer (7) and the nut.Tighten the nut 1000 to 1500 pound-inches lube torque.
(6) S 434-017Connect the main gear downlock sensor and cables to the side strut (AMM 32-61-31/401).
(7) S 434-018Connect the upper half of the side strut (3) to the reaction link (1). (a) Put the upper half of the side strut (3) in position above the lugs on the reaction link (1). (b) Install the upper attachment bolt (4) with its head end aft and add the special spacer (2) and the nut. (c) Tighten the nut 500 to 800 pound-inches lube torque.
(8) S 644-019Lubricate the side strut (AMM 12-21-11/301).
