Actuator bars for the proximity sensors:
(a)
Material: 1020 steel per MIL-S-7952, 15-5PH steel, 17-4PH steel per AMS 5643, Permalloy - HYMU (carpenter steel) or Molly Permalloy (Allegheny Ludlum).
(b)
Size: For rectangular sensors - 1.5 x 0.75 x 0.05 inches. For round sensors - 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.05 inches.
(2)
Deactuator bars for the proximity sensors:
(a)
Material: 5052, 6061, 7075, or 2024 aluminum or sheet copper
(b)
Size: For rectangular sensors - 1.5 x 0.75 x 0.05 inches. For round sensors - 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.05 inches.

The equipment that follows is necessary only when you do a test of the Engine Speed Detector Card, M1190:
(a)
Function generator which can produce a 5 volt square or sine wave, adjustable from 50 Hz to 3000 Hz. Wavetek Model 171 Synthesizer/Function Generator - Wavetek Pacific Measurements, Inc., 488 Tasman Dr., Sunnyvale, CA 94089.

Test for the M981 Circuit Card (Right Main Gear Downlock Switch)

Prepare to do the test:
(a)
Make sure the ground locks are installed on all the gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).
(b)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(c)
Make sure this circuit breaker is closed on the P6 panel: 1) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTG
(d)
Make sure the landing gear lever is in the DN position.

Do the test of the M981 circuit card:
(a)
Make sure all green lights for the landing gear, on the P2 panel, are on.
(b)
Put a deactuator bar on the face of sensor S73 (downlock sensor for the right main gear).
NOTE: Sensor S73 is on the side strut for the right main gear.

1) Make sure the green light for the right main gear (on the P2 panel) goes off.
(c) Remove the deactuator bar from the sensor S73.
1) Make sure the green light for the right main gear (on the P2 panel) comes on.

Put the airplane in its initial condition.
(a)
Remove electrical power, if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
F. Test for the M982 Circuit Card (Right Main Gear Uplock Switch)______________________________

(a)
Make sure the ground locks are installed on all the gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).
(b)
Make sure there is no pressure in hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 29-15-00/201).
(c)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(d)
Make sure this circuit breaker is closed on the P6 panel: 1) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTG
(e)
Make sure the landing gear lever is in the DN position.
