Install the lockbolt, the washer, the nut in the apex nut and the lockwasher.
(i)
Tighten the checknut 50 to 100 pound-inches.
(j)
Install the lockwire from the lockbolt to the checknut.

Do a visual check on the unit for leakage at the bleeder plugs, the filler valve, the hydraulic line connection, and the piston rod seals.
(2)
Make sure the gear is adjusted as in step 2.C.(2).
(3)
Push the thrust washer against the lower torsion link.
(4)
Measure the distance between the thrust washer and the apex nut.
