 (3)  
Remove the downlock springs (2) (AMM 32-32-91/401).

 S 034-005

 (4)  
Disconnect the head ends of the lock actuators (1) and (6) from the reaction link.

 (5)  
Remove the bolt keeper (14) from the retaining bolt (5).

 S 024-007

 (6)  
Use the thread protector and remove the bolt (5) that attaches the ring lock strut (3) to the reaction link.

 (7)  
Hold the side strut (10) and use the thread protector to remove the top attachment bolt (9).

 (8)  
Hold the inboard end of the reaction link (4) and use the thread protector to remove the bolt (8) that connects the uplock crank (7) to the reaction link.

Use the thread protector and remove the bolt (13) that connects the reaction link (4) to the universal (12).

 (10)
 Remove the reaction link from the airplane.

 A. Special Tools and Equipment
 (1)  Thread Protector and Alignment Tool:
 F80115-13 (F80115-4, Optional)
 Use on 737-400 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolts which
 connect the reaction link to the universal, and the uplock crank.

 Use on 737-300/-500 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolt
 which connects the reaction link to the side strut.

 (2)  Thread Protector and Alignment Tool:
 F80115-17 (F80115-9, Optional) - Use on 737-400 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolt which connects the reaction link to the side strut.
 F80115-12 (F80115-3, Optional) - Use on 737-300/-500 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolts which connect the reaction link to the universal, and the uplock crank.
 (3)  
Thread Protector and Alignment Tool- F80115-14 (F80115-5, Optional) Use on 737-300/-400/-500 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolt which connects the reaction link to the lock strut.
