MAIN LANDING GEAR SAFETY SENSORS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. One task is the removal of the main landing gear safety sensors (refered to as safety sensor). The other is the installation of the safety sensors.
B. The safety sensors are found on the interlock valve support of the ground spoiler.

WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE KEPT AWAY FROM THE
CONTROL SURFACES. THE CONTROL SURFACES WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY
DURING MAINTENANCE IF THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM A OR B IS
PRESURIZED. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Keep all persons and equipment away from the control surfaces. S 044-003
(2)
Open all the circuit breakers for the landing gear on the circuit breaker panel, P6-2.

Make sure the ground locks are installed in all the landing gear (Ref 32-00-01/201).

Remove the sensor cover. S 024-005

Remove the sensor from the mounting bracket. S 034-006

Remove the sensor wire clamp from the interlock valve bracket. S 034-007
(7)
Remove the sensor wires from the wire bundle. S 034-008

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Write the location of the wire color codes. NOTE: Do this to make the installation of the new sensor

Disconnect the electrical connector. NOTE: The electrical connector is found at the right body
