S 845-010
(1)
Prepare to do the test.
(a)
Disconnect the applicable electrical connector for the sensor being tested.
NOTE: To find the applicable connector, you can use the WDM to
____ find the connector nearest the sensor being tested. It can be at the wheel well wall, strut bracket, or other location where it is easy to get access.
(b)
Install jumpers between the sensor leads and the INTERFACE terminals on the tester.
(c)
Set the component SELECTOR switch to SENSOR.
(d)
Set the test group SELECTOR switch to the correct group.
NOTE: Use the Proximity Sensing Component Categories table to
____ find the correct group number.
S 725-011
(2)
Do the test.
(a)
On the tester, set the POWER switch ON.
NOTE: If the SENSOR MONITOR TARGET FAULT light on the tester
____ comes on, a short or open circuit exists in the sensor or airplane wire.
(b)
Select the correct calibrated target from the Proximity Sensing Component Categories table.
(c)
Do one of these steps if the calibrated targets will not go between the sensor and its target (this is for a sensor and target that are in the target near configuration): 1) Put the sensor and its target in the target far
configuration.
