Move a spare static seal O-ring (9) from the lower spare seal recess in the lower bearing (7). 1) Apply a layer of hydraulic oil and a light layer of
petrolatum before the O-ring installation.
(b)
Carefully pull the lubricated spare static O-ring seal (only enough to install the O-ring in the groove of the seal adapter (4)).

(c) Install a new backup ring on each side of the O-ring.
NOTE: O-rings must have no twists when installed.

Move a spare dynamic seal assembly (8) from the higher spare seal recess in the lower bearing (7). 1) Apply a layer of hydraulic oil and a light layer of
petrolatum before installation.
(e)
Move a spare dynamic seal assembly up the inner cylinder into the recess in the seal adapter. 1) Move the lower bearing (7) and washer (6) against the seal
to hold the seal in its position.
(f)
Move the bearing and the seal adapter as a unit on the outer cylinder.
(g)
Move the scraper adapter (11) with the scraper ring (10) into their position against the lower bearing.
