(3) Measure the clearance between the air safety sensor and its target.
(a) Do the steps to adjust the sensor if the clearance you find is
not in the permitted clearance shown on Fig. 501.

(4) Adjust the air safety sensor:
(a) With the protective cover installed, loosen the mounting bolts
for the sensor.
(b) Move the sensor on the mounting bracket up and down or the
target up and down until you get the clearance shown on
Fig. 501 (between the sensor face and the target).
(c) Tighten the mounting bolts.
(d) Remove the rig pin from the support for the interlock valve.

(5) Do this task (part of this procedure): Main Landing Gear Safety
Sensors - Test.

(6) Lower the airplane to the ground and remove the jacks
(AMM 07-11-11/201).
ú G. Adjust the Air Safety Sensor without jacking the airplane. (Alternate
Procedure) (Fig. 501)
NOTE: This procedure does not do a complete test of the air safety____
sensor. You can use this procedure if you cannot put the airplane
ú on jacks. However, you must do the Main Landing Gear Safety
ú Sensor - Test when you can put the airplane on jacks.

(1) Disconnect the teleflex cable on the torsion link of the main
landing gear.

(2) Move the sensor actuator so you can install the rig pin.

Install the rig pin through the yoke of the interlock valve for the ground spoiler.

Measure the clearance between the air safety sensor and its target.

If the clearance you find is not in the permitted clearance shown on Fig. 501, then adjust the air safety sensor:
(a)
With the protective cover installed, loosen the mounting bolts for the sensor.
(b)
Move the sensor on the mounting bracket up and down or the target up and down until you get the clearance shown on Fig. 501 (between the sensor face and the target).
(c)
Tighten the mounting bolts.

Do this test of the main landing gear safety sensor:
(a)
If it is necessary, supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Make sure all the circuit breakers for the landing gear system on the P6-2 panel are closed.
(c)
Make sure the GROUND SENSING AND AIR SENSING lights on the E-11 shelf are on.

Remove the rig pin from the interlock valve.

Re-connect the teleflex cable.

Adjust the ground safety sensor:
(a)
With the protective cover installed, loosen the mounting bolts on the ground safety sensor.
NOTE: If ground safety sensor bracket is not equipped with
____ slotted holes and you are not able to adjust the sensor refer to SB 32-1057.
