 A.  This procedure only has illustration and a wear limits table which shows the data for wear limits. There are no procedures for the access, the removal, or the installation of the parts. Refer to the Main Landing Gear Side Strut - Removal/Installation for procedures to do these tasks.

 MAIN GEAR REACTION LINK - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1. General
 A. This procedure removes and installs the main gear reaction link.
 TASK 32-11-71-004-001
 2.  Remove Main Gear Reaction Link (Fig. 401)______________________________
 A. Special Tools and Equipment
 (1)  Thread Protector and Alignment Tool:
 F80115-13 (F80115-4, Optional)
 Use on 737-400 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolts which
 connect the reaction link to the universal, and the uplock crank.

 Use on 737-300/-500 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolt
 which connects the reaction link to the side strut.

 (2)  Thread Protector and Alignment Tool:
 F80115-17 (F80115-9, Optional) - Use on 737-400 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolt which connects the reaction link to the side strut.
 F80115-12 (F80115-3, Optional) - Use on 737-300/-500 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolts which connect the reaction link to the universal, and the uplock crank.
 (3)  
Thread Protector and Alignment Tool- F80115-14 (F80115-5, Optional) Use on 737-300/-400/-500 airplanes to protect the threads of the bolt which connects the reaction link to the lock strut.

Make sure that the gear ground lockpins (AMM 32-00-01/201) are installed.

Lift the airplane on jacks until the wheels almost touch the ground (AMM 07-11-11/201).
