(d) Put the actuator walking bear arm (2) in position between the lugs of the shock strut (3), (Fig. 406).
NOTE: Make sure the curved lugs of the walking beam arm

are in the inboard direction.

_______ (MASTINOX 6856K). IF MASTINOX GETS ON YOUR SKIN, IMMEDIATELY REMOVE IT WITH WATER. IF THIS MATERIAL GETS IN YOUR EYES, IMMEDIATELY FLUSH YOUR EYES WITH WATER AND GET MEDICAL AID. THIS MATERIAL CONTAINS VERY POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE AGENTS WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS.
CAUTION: REMOVE UNWANTED MASTINOX FROM SURFACES WHICH WILL BE
_______ LUBRICATED. IF YOU APPLY MASTINOX TO JOINTS THAT TURN, FAILURE OF THE LANDING GEAR TO EXTEND OR RETRACT COULD OCCUR.
(e)
Apply mastinox 6856K to the non-lubricated outer surfaces of the trunnion link pin (9) pin immediately before installation (AMM 12-21-11/301).
(f)
Apply a layer of grease to the lubricated surfaces of the trunnion link pin (9) immediately before installation.
(g)
Install the thread protector (8) on the trunnion link pin (9).
CAUTION: IT IS IMPORTANT TO INSTALL THE TRUNNION LINK PIN (9) BY
_______ HAND TO MAKE SURE THAT AN AXIAL PRELOAD IS NOT INDUCED IN THE TRUNNION BEARINGS. BEARING PRELOAD WILL CAUSE TOO MUCH FRICTION AND CAN RESULT IN GEAR RETRACTION AND EXTENSION DIFFICULTIES.
(h)
From the outboard side, install the trunnion link pin (9) by hand through the forward trunnion link (7), the lug of the shock strut (3), and the actuator walking beam arm (2), (Fig. 406).
(i)
Turn the trunnion link pin (9) to align the hole of the pin locking lug with the lockbolt (4) in the forward trunnion link (7).
(j)
When the trunnion link pin is fully engaged, remove the thread protector (8).
CAUTION:_______ LOOK FOR A BLACK MARK ON THE YELLOW BACKGROUND OF THE
TRUNNION LINK PIN. THIS SHOWS THAT THE THREADS HAVE BEEN
REWORKED. A TRUNNION LINK PIN WITH UNDERSIZE THREADS MUST
BE USED ONLY WITH A SPECIAL UNDERSIZE TRUNNION PIN NUT.
MAKE SURE THAT STANDARD NUTS ARE NOT USED ON UNDERSIZE
THREADS.
(k) Install the special washer (5A), and the trunnion pin nut (6).

(l) Tighten the the trunnion pin nut by hand.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT FORWARD TRUNNION BEARING ASSEMBLY AND LOCKING_______
ú KEY ARE CORRECTLY MATCHED SET (AIPC 32-11-83, FIG. 1).
ú MISMATCHED BEARING ASSEMBLY AND LOCKING KEY CAN RESULT IN
ú DAMAGE TO THE BEARING ASSEMBLY.

ú (13) Install the locking key (2) of the forward trunnion bearing (3)
ú with the two lockbolts (10) and their washers (11) and nuts (12)
ú (Fig. 407).
NOTE: You can install the locking key in one of the two positions____
to align the tabs with the slots.

(14) Install the anirotation bolt (1), (Fig. 406).
(a) Align the holes in the actuator walking beam arm (2) with the
hole in the trunnion pin link (9).
