Make sure that all the ground lock pins are installed (AMM 32-00-01/201).

Lift the airplane on jacks until the wheels are off the ground (AMM 07-11-11/201).

Remove the Lower Drag Strut (Fig. 401)

Disconnect the hydraulic line support (6) from the lower drag strut (2).

Release the bracket clamp (7) for the electrical harness from the lower drag strut (2).

(3)
Safety the lower end of the upper drag strut so that the upper drag strut will not move forward.
(4)
Remove the lower attachment bolt (5).
(5)
Remove the nut and the washer from the T-bolt assembly (4).
(6)
Hold the shock strut and the upper torsion link (9).
(7)
Remove the upper torsion link pin (11).
