Plug Gage, Landing Gear Nut, F80198-13, used to examine the minor diameter of the axle nut with undersized configuration or equivalent vendor tool Class X, 2.8141 Go/2.8163 NoGo with handle.

Axle Nut NO-GO Gage Tool for pitch diameter.
(a)
NO-GO Gage, 2-15/16-16 UNS 3B NoGo member only with handle, pitch diameter 2.9024, used to examine the pitch diameter of the axle nut with original configuration.
(b)
NO-GO Gage, 2-7/8-16 UNS 3B NoGo member only with handle, pitch diameter 2.8379, used to examine the pitch diameter of the axle nut with undersized configuration.

CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THAT YOU ATTACH A LABEL WHICH READS "CAUTION -
SPECIAL AXLE NUT IS NECESSARY" ALONG THE UPPER OUTER END OF THE
AXLE SLEEVE ON THE AIRPLANES WITH REWORKED AXLES. THE LABEL
MUST HAVE YELLOW LETTERS ON A BLACK BACKGROUND. IF NO LABEL IS
ATTACH ON THE AXLE, THE INCORRECT AXLE NUT CAN BE INSTALLED.
THE INSTALLATION OF INCORRECT AXLE NUT CAN CAUSE THE WHEEL TO
FALL OFF DURING TAKEOFF OR LANDING.
(1) Do a check on the wear limits of the axle thread and axle nut of the main landing gear (Fig. 601).
NOTE: A Johnson GJ-5/PD-MD thread measuring system (or equivalent)
____ can be used as an option to measure the threads, but a separate measuring segment and master thread gage ring are necessary for each thread size. The gage ring is used to set the dial indicator before you measure the threads.
