(1)
Slowly rotate the starter drive shaft in a counterclockwise direction with a socket spanner, until the clutch engages.
(2)
Slowly rotate the starter drive shaft in a clockwise direction until the clutch disengages.
(3)
Install the starter motor drive shaft end cover (15). NOTE : You must replace the starter motor clutch if the starter motor
____ does not disengage (Ref. TASK 49-42-52-000-001) (Ref. TASK 49-42-52-400-001).
