A. Installation of the Nozzles and Manifold
(1)
Remove all the blanking caps.
(2)
Install the gaskets (4) (4) on the nozzles (3).
(3)
Install the shield (5) and the nozzles (3) with the new gasket (4) in the combustor casing mount bosses (6).
(4)
Apply lubricant COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-014) to the bolts (6).
(5)
Install the bolts (2) and secure the nozzles (3)
(6)
TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 0.57 and 0.63 m.daN (50.44 and 55.75 lbf.in)
(7)
Connect the manifold (1) to the nozzle connector (3).
(8)
TORQUE the manifold nuts (1) to between 1.07 and 1.19 m.daN (94.69 and 105.30 lbf.in).
(9)
Repeat steps (2) thru (8) at the remaing two pilot nozzles.
(10)
Install the clamps (7) with the bolts (8) and nuts (9).
(11)
Repeat step (10) at the remaing three clamp positions.
(12)
TORQUE the nuts (8) to between 0.57 and 0.63 m.daN (50.44 and 55.75 lbf.in)
(13)
Connect the manifold connector (10) to the fuel flow divider, torque tighten to the same value as in step (8).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD

C. Leak Test.
(1)
Start and operate the APU for a minimum of five minutes (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-005).
(2)
Examine the fuel nozzles and manifolds for signs of fuel leaks. NOTE : No leaks are permitted.

Stop the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-006).

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3)
Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
(5)
Remove the warning notice(s). Subtask 49-31-41-860-052
B.
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
