Obey the Fuel Safety Procedures (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that ground fire extinguishing equipment is available.
(5)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Fuel Control Unit CAUTION : PUT PLASTIC CAPS OR PLUGS ON ALL FUEL AND/OR LUBRICATION SYSTEM
_______ COMPONENTS AND LINES. IF YOU USE TAPE, CLOTH, OR METAL CAPS ON THEM, YOU CAN DAMAGE THE APU.
CAUTION : YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU
_______ REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connector P19 (1) from the fuel control unit (12).
(2)
Remove the nuts (11), the washers (10), the bolts (8) and harness clamps (9) from the fuel control unit (12).
(3)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4)
Put a container under the fuel inlet.
(5)
Remove connector (2) and the pressure switch (4), remove the union
(5) from the FCU and discard the three packings (3).
(6)
Position the waste fuel container.
(7)
Disconnect the tubes (6),(13) and (15) from the FCU (12).
(8)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(9)
Support the FCU and remove the V-band clamp (20) .
(10) Remove the FCU (12), remove and discard the packings (18) and (19).
