 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.

 (2)
 Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.

 (3)
 Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

 (4)
 Make sure that the access platform is positioned below the APU compartment.

 (5)
 Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

 A. Preparation for Installation
 (1)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (2)
 Lubricate the new packings packing (18) and packing (19) with OILS (Material No. 03-002).

 (3)
 Install the packing (18) on the FCU splined drive-shaft. NOTE : Make sure that the packing (18) is installed correctly. Make

____ sure that the packing is installed in the second recess, further toward the FCU housing.

 (4)
 Install the packing (19) on the FCU mount boss groove.


 (5)
 Remove all blanks caps and plugs from the FCU. Subtask 49-32-11-420-052

 B.
 Installation of the FCU.
 CAUTION : YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU

 

_______ REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
 CAUTION : DO NOT TORQUE THE V-CLAMP(S) TO MORE THAN THE SPECIFIED VALUE.

 YOU CAN DAMAGE THE FLANGE SURFACES IF YOU DO.

 

 CAUTION : -YOU MUST NOT INCREASE THE TIGHTENING TORQUE MORE THAN THE

 MAXIMUM VALUE.
 -APPLY ALL TIGHTENING TORQUES WITH A TORQUE WRENCH OR A
 CALIBRATED SCREWDRIVER.

 (1)
 Position the FCU on the gearbox mount pad location dowel, support the FCU and install the V-Band clamp (20).

 (2)
 TORQUE the V-band clamp (20) to 60 lbf.in (0.67 m.daN).
