A. Remove the Manifold and Fuel Nozzles (Ref. TASK 49-31-41-000-002).
4. Procedure

A. Inspection of the Fuel Nozzles and Manifold.
(1)
Inspect the manifold fuel tube insulation for splitting, hardening and porosity. None is permitted.
(2)
Make sure that the nozzle fuel-inlet connections (3) are not damaged, or blocked with carbon material.
(3)
Examine the nozzle mounting bosses (6) and make sure that they are clean and not damaged.
(4)
Examine the atomizer assembly for damage or carbon material. None is permitted.
(5)
Blow filtered air through each nozzle connection. Make sure that there are no blockages.
NOTE : If a blockage is found replace the nozzle assembly.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
