A. Removal of the Igniter Plug WARNING : DISCONNECT THE LOW TENSION ELECTRICAL SUPPLY 5 MINUTES BEFORE
_______ YOU START WORK ON THE IGNITION SYSTEM. ALSO, GROUND THE IGNITER LEAD WITH AN INSULATED DEVICE AS YOU DISCONNECT IT FROM THE IGNITER PLUG. HIGH CURRENT AND VOLTAGE, WHICH ARE USED IN THE IGNITION SYSTEM, CAN KILL YOU.
NOTE : There are two igniter plugs mounted in the combustion casing, one
____ at 270 degrees and one at 120 degrees viewed from the rear. The removal procedure is the same for both.
(1)
Ground the igniter cables with an insulated device.
(2)
Disconnect the LT supply P10 from the ignition exciter.
(3)
Disconnect the igniter cable(s) (1) from the igniter plug(s).
(4)
Remove the igniter plug(s) (2) from the combustor assembly.

On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(2)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(5)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(6)
Make sure that the igniter leads are grounded with an insulated device.
(7)
