A. Removal of the Igniter Plug (8031KM) WARNING : DISCONNECT THE LOW TENSION ELECTRICAL SUPPLY 5 MINUTES BEFORE
_______ YOU START WORK ON THE IGNITION SYSTEM. ALSO, GROUND THE IGNITER LEAD WITH AN INSULATED DEVICE AS YOU DISCONNECT IT FROM THE IGNITER PLUG. HIGH CURRENT AND VOLTAGE, WHICH ARE USED IN THE IGNITION SYSTEM, CAN KILL YOU.
NOTE : There is only one igniter plug. It is installed in the combustion

casing at 220 degrees viewed from the rear.
(1)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the electrical connector (1).
(2)
Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(3)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the ignition electrical lead (2).
(4)
Disconnect the ignition electrical lead (2) from the igniter plug (8031KM) (3).
(5)
Remove the igniter plug (8031KM) (3) and the gasket (4).
(6)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT SW 11LJ is set to the ON position
(8)
Make sure that the igniter leads are grounded with an insulated device.
(9)
Make sure that the LT supply P10 connector is disconnected. Subtask 49-41-41-865-051
