Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD

(1)
Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems.

(2)
De-energize the ground service network

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the on position.

A. Removal of the Starter Motor Clutch
(1)
Remove the starter motor (Ref. TASK 49-42-51-000-003).
(2)
Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
(3)
Remove the bearing support assembly (3) from the starter motor clutch (6).
(4)
Remove and discard the packing (4) from the bearing support assembly (3).
(5)
Pull the starter motor clutch (6) from the gearbox.
