A. Removal of the Combustion Chamber Drain Valve.
CAUTION : YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU
_______ REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
CAUTION : PUT PLASTIC CAPS OR PLUGS ON ALL FUEL AND/OR LUBRICATION SYSTEM
_______ COMPONENTS AND LINES. IF YOU USE TAPE, CLOTH, OR METAL CAPS ON THEM, YOU CAN DAMAGE THE APU.
(1)
Position a container below the combustion chamber drain valve (2).
(2)
Disconnect the drain tube (1) from the drain valve (2).
(3)
Remove the drain valve (2) from the combustion chamber elbow (4).
(4)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(5)
Remove and discard the packing.

On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(2)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(5)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
