A. Installation of the Fuel Shutoff Solenoid-Valve (8026KM)
(1)
Remove the blanking plug from the FCU opening.
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area. NOTE : Make sure that the interface is kept clean at all times while
____ the fuel shutoff solenoid-valve is not installed.
(3)
Lubricate the new packing (3) with FUELS (Material No. 01-002).
(4)
Install the new packing (3) to the fuel shutoff solenoid-valve (8026KM) (2).
(5)
Lubricate the new packing (4) with FUELS (Material No. 01-002).
(6)
Install the new packing (4) to the fuel shutoff solenoid-valve (8026KM) (2).
(7)
Lubricate the new packing (5) with FUELS (Material No. 01-002).
(8)
Install the new packing (5) to the fuel shutoff solenoid-valve (8026KM) (2).
(9)
Install the fuel shutoff solenoid-valve (8026KM) (2) on the FCU mounting studs.
(10)
Install the washers (6) and the nuts (7) .
(11)
TORQUE the nuts (7) to between 0.57 and 0.58 m.daN (50.44 and 51.32 lbf.in).
(12)
Install the electrical connector (1) to the fuel shutoff
solenoid-valve (8026KM) (2).
(13)
Safety the electrical connector (1) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) dia.
(14)
Remove the container. Subtask 49-32-17-865-052
B.
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD, 1QC, 2QC, 3QC, 1QF, 2QF.

C. Leak Test
(1)
Start and operate the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-003).
(2)
Examine the fuel shutoff solenoid-valve area for fuel leaks. NOTE : No leaks are permitted.
(3)
Stop the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-004).

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3)
Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-32-17-865-056
B.
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems.

De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits

Remove the warning notice(s).
