A. Safety Precautions.
(1)
Obey the Fuel Safety Procedures (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that ground fire extinguishing equipment is available.
(5)
Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Gain Access

Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
4. Procedure

A. Filter Housing/Element - Removal
(1)
Put the container in position below the fuel filter housing (6).
(2)
Grasp the filter housing (6), turn it anti-clockwise and remove it.
(3)
Let the fuel from the fuel filter housing (6) drain into the container.
(4)
Remove the filter element (5) from the fuel filter housing (6). Discard the element (5) and the packing (4).
(5)
Tip the residual fuel from the housing into the container.
(6)
Remove and discard packing (3).
(7)
Put a blanking cap on the FCU fuel filter orifice. Subtask 49-32-11-420-053
