A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Nozzles and Manifold
(1)
Remove all the blanking caps.
(2)
Install the new gaskets (1) on the nozzles (2).
(3)
Install the nozzles (2) with the new gasket (1) in the combustor casing mount boss (5).
(4)
Apply lubricant COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-014) to the bolts (3).
(5)
Install the bolts (3) and secure the nozzles (2).
(6)
TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 0.57 and 0.63 m.daN (50.44 and 55.75 lbf.in)
(7)
Connect the manifold connector (4) to the nozzle (2).
(8)
TORQUE the manifold nuts (4) to between 1.07 and 1.19 m.daN (94.69 and 105.30 lbf.in).
(9)
Repeat steps (2) thru (8) at the remaing five main nozzles.
(10)
Install the clamps (7) with the bolts (6) and nuts (8).
(11)
Repeat step (10) at the remaing three clamp positions.
(12)
TORQUE the nuts (8) to between 0.57 and 0.63 m.daN (50.44 and 55.75 lbf.in)
(13)
Connect the manifold connector (9) to the fuel flow divider, torque tighten to the same value as in step (8).
