A. Safety Precautions WARNING : DISCONNECT THE LOW TENSION ELECTRICAL SUPPLY 5 MINUTES BEFORE
_______ YOU START WORK ON THE IGNITION SYSTEM. ALSO, GROUND THE IGNITER LEAD WITH AN INSULATED DEVICE AS YOU DISCONNECT IT FROM THE IGNITER PLUG. HIGH CURRENT AND VOLTAGE, WHICH ARE USED IN THE IGNITION SYSTEM, CAN KILL YOU.
(1)
Before you disconnect the two igniter cables, disconnect the low tension connector P10 and wait for 5 minutes.
(2)
Ground the the igniter leads with an insulated device before you disconnect them from the igniter unit.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off, then wait 7.5 minutes before you do the procedure.
(2)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to push the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch to on.
(3)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized

D. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Make sure that the light SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

A. Removal of the Ignition Unit (8030KM)
(1)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the ignition unit (8030KM) (4).
(2)
Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the ignition unit (8030KM) (4).
(3)
Disconnect the ignition electrical lead (7) from the ignition unit (8030KM) (4).
(4)
Put the blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(5)
Remove the four bolts (3) and the washers (2) from the forward bolts.
(6)
Remove the ignition unit (8030KM) (4) and the insulator (5) from the secondary shield bracket (1) on the turbine casing.
