 4. Procedure

 A. Installation of the Flow Divider and Drain Valve Assembly (8023KM)
 CAUTION : YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU

_______ REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.


 CAUTION : -YOU MUST NOT INCREASE THE TIGHTENING TORQUE MORE THAN THE
_______
 MAXIMUM VALUE.
 -APPLY ALL TIGHTENING TORQUES WITH A TORQUE WRENCH OR A
 CALIBRATED SCREWDRIVER.

 (1)
 Remove the blanking caps from the APU flow divider and drain valve
 assembly.


 (2)
 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (3)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (4)
 Hold the flow divider and drain valve assembly (8023KM) (8) in
 position and install the bracket (7), the washer (6) and the bolt
 (5).

 

 NOTE : Make sure that the flow divider and drain valve assembly
____ (8023KM) (8) is installed with the main-fuel inlet connection to the rear.
 (5)
 TORQUE the bolt (5) to 0.56 m.daN (49.55 lbf.in).

 (6)
 Remove the blanking caps from the fuel pipes.

 (7)
 Connect the primary fuel pipe (4) to the flow divider and drain valve assembly (8023KM) (8).

 (8)
 Tighten the primary fuel pipe (4).

 (9)
 Connect the secondary fuel pipe (3) to the flow divider and drain
 valve assembly (8023KM) (8).

 

 (10)
 Tighten the secondary fuel pipe (3).

 (11)
 Safety the primary fuel pipe-connection (4) to the secondary fuel pipe-connection (3) with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0.8 mm

 (0.032 in) dia.

 (12)
 Connect the fuel drain pipe (2) to the flow divider and drain valve assembly (8023KM) (8).

 (13)
 Tighten the fuel drain pipe (2).

 (14)
 Safety the fuel drain pipe (2) with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0.8 mm (0.032 in) dia.

 (15)
 Connect the main fuel inlet-pipe (1) to the flow divider and drain valve assembly (8023KM) (8).

 (16)
 Tighten the main fuel inlet-pipe (1).

 (17)
 Safety the main fuel inlet-pipe (1) with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0.8 mm (0.032 in) dia.

 B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.

 C. Do the operational test of the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-710-004).
 (1) Operate the APU for min. five minutes and examine the joints of the flow divider for leaks.
 NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.

 A. Close Access
 (1)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 (2)
 Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).

 (3)
 Remove the access platform(s).

 (4)
 Remove the warning notice(s).
