 3. Job Set-up

 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
 (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).


 (2)
 Make sure that there is a notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to switch the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch ON.

 (3)
 Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
 (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).


 (4)
 Make sure that the ignition leads are grounded with an insulated device.

 B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged

 C. Get Access
 (1)
 Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.

 (2)
 Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

 (3)
 Make sure that the light SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

 


 4. Procedure
_________ Subtask 49-41-38-420-050
 A. Installation of the Ignition Unit (8030KM) CAUTION : -YOU MUST NOT INCREASE THE TIGHTENING TORQUE MORE THAN THE
_______ MAXIMUM VALUE. -APPLY ALL TIGHTENING TORQUES WITH A TORQUE WRENCH OR A CALIBRATED SCREWDRIVER.
 (1)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (2)
 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (3)
 Put the ignition unit (4) and the insulator (5) in position onto the secondary shield bracket (1) on the turbine casing.

 (4)
 Install the bolts (3). Install the washers (2) on the forward two bolts (two per bolt).

 (5)
 Tighten and TORQUE the bolts (3) to 0.56 m.daN (49.55 lbf.in).

 (6)
 Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connections.

 (7)
 Connect the ignition electrical lead (7) to the ignition unit (8030KM) (4).

 (8)
 Tighten and TORQUE the ignition electrical lead (7) connector to 0.4 m.daN (35.39 lbf.in).

 (9)
 Safety the connector with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0,8mm


 (0.032 in) dia.
 (10)
 Connect the electrical connector (6) to the ignition unit (8030KM) (4).

 (11)
 Safety the connector with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0,6mm (0.0236 in) dia.

 (12)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD

 C. Do the self-test of the ECB (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-710-001).
 5. Close-up

 A. Close Access
 (1)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 (2)
 Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the OFF position.

 (3)
 Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).


 (4)
 Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-41-38-865-064

 B.
 Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

 Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems.
 (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).


 (2)
 De-energize the ground service network
 (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-862-001).


 (3)
 Remove the warning notice(s).
