3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is OFF.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the LT connector P10 is not connected to the ignition exciter.

C. Get Access
(1)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(2)
Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Make sure that the light SW 11LJ is set to the ON position.

A. Installation of the Electrcal Lead - Igniter Plug
(1)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Remove the blanking cap and connect the ignition electrical lead (2) to the igniter plug (8031KM) (3) and the ignition unit (8030KM) (4).
(4)
Tighten and TORQUE the ignition electrical lead connector (2) to 0.4 m.daN (35.39 lbf.in).
(5)
Safety the ignition electrical lead connector (2) with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0.6 mm (0.0236 in) dia.
(6)
Remove the blanking cap and connect the electrical connector (1).
(7)
Safety the electrical connector (1) with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel 0.6 mm (0.0236 in) dia.
(8)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
