Tighten the nut (18) to 70-80 inch-pounds (7.9-9.0
 newton-meters).


 (h)  
Connect the Pc air tube (14) to the reducer (13).

 1)  Tighten the tube (14) to 270-300 inch-pounds (30.5-33.9 newton-meters).

 (i)  
Connect the fuel return tube (6) and the fuel supply tube (5) to the nipples (7). 1) Tighten the tubes (5 and 6) to 90-100 inch-pounds

 (10.2-11.3 newton-meters).

 (j)  
Connect the P21 electrical connector (22) to the electrical socket (23). 1) Tighten the connector (22) with your hand.

 (5)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P83 Aft APU Equipment Control and Circuit Breaker Panel 1) APU PRIMARY CONT

 (b)  
P6-2 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K18, APU ALTN CONT

 (6)  
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 panel.

Examine the installation for leakage:

 (a)
Do this task: APU Starting and Operation (AMM 49-11-00/201).

 (b)  
During the APU operation, examine the fuel lines for leakage.

 (c)  
Do this task: APU Usual Shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).

 (d)  
If you found leakage, repair the cause of it.

 (8)  
Close the left APU access door, 317AL, and right APU access door, 318AR:

 (a)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the right access door.

 (b)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the right APU compartment bulkhead.

 (c)  
Lift the right access door until you can install the lanyard on the pin at the aft APU compartment bulkhead.


 NOTE: The lanyard will hold the right access door on the
____
 APU compartment bulkhead.

 (d)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the left access door.

 (e)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.

 (f)  
Make sure the insulation covers are correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (g)  
Lift the left access door until the two APU access doors are approximately aligned.

 (h)  
Close the two APU access doors.

 (i)  
Close the six latches on the right access door.

 RATE SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

A removal of the rate sensor

 (2)  
An installation of the rate sensor.

 B.  
The rate sensor is installed on the top right side of the load compressor scroll housing.
