The two APU current transformers are installed behind the bulk cargo compartment and attached to the two brackets on the airplane floor beam. You can get access to the two APU current transformers through the bulk cargo compartment door and access station 2160 bulkhead door.

Make sure the APU control switch on the P5 overhead panel is OFF and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

APU Current Transformer Removal

(1)
Do these steps to remove the APU current transformer (2):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the APU current transformer (2).
(b)
Remove the two screws (4) and two washers (5) that attach the lanyard and cover (3) to the APU current transformer (2).
(c)
Remove the cover (3).
(d)
Remove the two nuts (9), two washers (7) and two screws (6) that attach the two clamps (8) and generator cable to the airframe.
(e)
Remove the two clamps (8).
(f)
Remove the three nuts (11) and three screws (10) that attach the APU current transformer (2) to the bracket.
(g)
Remove the APU current transformer (2).
(h)
Make sure you install all necessary protection covers.
