Remove the two quick-release pins from the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.
(d)
Connect the two hold-open rods from the left access door to the two brackets and install the two quick-release pins.
(e)
Push the right access door up and remove the lanyard from the pin on the aft APU compartment bulkhead.
(f)
Open the right access door to the fully open position and remove the two hold-open rods from the two clips.
(g)
Remove the two quick-release pins from the two brackets on the right APU compartment bulkhead.
(h)
Connect the two hold-open rods from the right access door to the two brackets and install the two quick-release pins.

D. Fuel Pump Inlet Screen Removal

Do these steps to remove the inlet screen and spring assembly (11):
(a)
Put the container below the fuel pump (1).
WARNING:_______THE INLET SCREEN COVER HAS SPRING PRESSURE ON IT. BE CAREFUL TO MONITOR THE PARTS WHEN YOU REMOVE THE INLET SCREEN COVER. THE INCORRECT REMOVAL OF THE INLET SCREEN COVER CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(b)
Remove the plug (13) and inlet screen cover (14).
(c)
Remove the two packings (12), (15). 1) Discard the two packings (12), (15).
(d)
Remove the inlet screen and spring assembly (11).
(e)
Make sure you install all necessary protection covers.
(f)
Remove the container.
