(c) Find the last three numbers (digits) in the SERIAL NUMBER LAST 3 DIGITS column on sheet 2 or sheet 3 that agrees with the SERIAL NO. on the engine reference data plate.
NOTE: Sheet 2 or sheet 3 identifies which jumper(s) to cut if
____ the SERIAL NO. agrees with the number on the SERIAL NUMBER LAST 3 DIGITS column. The jumper(s) that you can cut are W6, W7, W8, W9 and/or W10.
(d) To show an example of which jumper(s) to cut when you have the SERIAL NO. on the engine reference data plate, do these steps: 1) The last three numbers (digits) of the SERIAL NO. on the
engine reference data plate is 123. 2) See sheet 1 and the SERIAL NUMBER LAST 3 DIGITS column. a) Find serial number 123 in this column.
NOTE: Serial number 123 is between 097 THRU 128.

b) Jumpers W1 and W2 are the applicable jumpers for serial number 123. c) Cut and remove jumpers W1 and W2.
3) See sheet 2 or sheet 3 and the SERIAL NUMBER LAST 3 DIGITS column. a) Find serial number 123 in this column. b) Jumpers W7, W9 and W10 are the applicable jumpers for
serial number 123. c) Cut and remove jumpers W7, W9 and W10.
(e)
Identify the jumper(s) that agree with the SERIAL NO. on the engine reference data plate.
(f)
Cut the applicable jumper(s).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE JUMPER(S) THAT YOU CUT ARE REMOVED FROM THE
_______ SERIAL NUMBER IDENTIFICATION UNIT. A LOOSE PIECE OF THE JUMPER THAT IS IN THE SERIAL NUMBER IDENTIFICATION UNIT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(g) Remove the piece(s) of the jumper(s) that you cut.

Install the gasket (8) and then the cover (7) on the back of the serial number identification unit (5) with the two screws (6).
(a)
Tighten the two screws (6) to 7-9 inch-pounds (0.8-1.0 newton-meters).
