Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the left access door.
(e)
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.
(f)
Make sure the insulation covers are correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.
(g)
Lift the left access door until the two APU access doors are approximately aligned.
(h)
Close the two APU access doors.
(i)
Close the six latches on the right access door.

(2) Do these steps to clean the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) with the cleaning solvent and brush or cloth:
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE SOLVENT IN YOUR MOUTH OR EYES, OR ON YOUR
_______ SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE SOLVENT. PUT ON PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU USE THE SOLVENT. KEEP THE SOLVENT AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME AND HEAT. THE SOLVENT IS A POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE SOLVENT WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Clean the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) with the cleaning solvent, P-D-680, and a brush or cloth.
(b)
Use a small amount of pressure on the brush or cloth while you clean the surfaces of the inlet screen and spring assembly (11).
(c)
Continue to clean the surfaces until there are no visible residue on the surfaces.

Do these steps to clean the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) with the ultrasonic cleaner:
(a)
Put the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) in a container with the carbon removing solvent for 30-60 minutes.
(b)
Increase the temperature of the freon solvent to 118°F (48°C).
NOTE: The boiling point of the freon solvent is 117.6°F
____
(47.6°C).
(c)
Put the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) in the hot freon solvent.
(d)
Flush the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) in the opposite direction at a flow rate of 1.2-3.6 U.S. gallons (4.5-13.6 liters) for each minute at 100°F (38°C) and 30 psig (207 kPa).
(e)
Ultrasonic clean the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) for 1-3 minutes at a minimum frequency of 25 kHz.
(f)
Turn the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) 180 degrees.
(g)
Continue to flush the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) in the opposite direction and ultrasonic clean the inlet screen and spring assembly for 1-3 minutes.
(h)
Make sure the cooling water in the water jacket is less than 80°F (27°C).
(i)
Hold the inlet screen and spring assembly (11) in the freon solvent gas (below the water jacket level) for 1-5 minutes at 118°F (48°C).
