Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

Remove the electrical power from the airplane (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Apply electrical power to the airplane if it is necessary for other operations (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Disconnect the coupling that attaches the air exhaust duct on the generator to the upper air exhaust duct.

The APU generator QAD ring (Ref 24-21-02/401)
(b)
The APU generator (Ref 24-21-03/401).

Remove the plain seal (1):
(a)
Remove the retainer ring (2) from the generator drive shaft on the load gearbox.
(b)
Remove the plain seal (1) from the generator drive shaft with the extractor. 1) Discard the seal (1).
